Briana Calderón Navarro
I'm an artist and community organizer living in New York City for 14 years. My family is originally from Mexico, and I grew up in Florida where I attended my first protest advocating for immigrant rights at the age of 15.
In 2012, I received a full-ride college scholarship to study at the City University of New York. Since then I've received numerous awards for my artwork and activism, including recognition from the Mexican Consulate in 2024, a New York State Assembly Citation for Exemplary Service to Community in 2023, and first place in the 2020 Labor Arts Contest.
